Your home is sacrosanct

Comment 1st July 2010

Remove the right of utility companies and others to enter a private home without permission. Entering a home without permission should only be legal with a warrant issued in relation to a criminal investigation.

If it is judged that the right must be maintained for some organisations, then minimum compensation of £20,000 should be payable for misuse of the right.

Why does this matter?

Personal privacy is essential. The individual has little or no redress against large organisations who enter their home without justification.
