Abolish child support payments.  If you cannot afford children don't have them.  The UK is not a giant charity.  Why should the tax payer pay for what people can't afford?

Why is this idea important?

The UK is bankrupt.  It cannot and should not behave like a charity.  The government should help and support families that have genuinely fallen on hard times through redundancy or illness. However, it is currently being bled dry by people that think it is acceptable to have children without any means of supporting them.  As a result an entire 'section' of society is surviving on government handouts and their children see it as a legitimate way to behave.  This results in a another generation of people who will never contribute to the country and the problem becomes self perpetuating.  The UK can't afford it.
