Abolish the IR35 tax regulation. As a Limited Company providing professional services to the IT industry, I am restricted to contracts of less than 2 years.

Why is this idea important?

According to the IR35 tax regulation, if I provide contractor services exclusively to the same client for more than two years, I will be considered an employee, and subject to tax as though I was an employee, backdated to the first day of the contract. So, despite paying corporation tax, employers and employees national insurance as well as PAYE on earnings, I would be further penalised for providing services successfully. Surely, as a limited company I should be allowed to contract with whomever I please and for as long as I please without penalty.
