Abolish the licence fee and make the BBC funded by voluntary subscription.

Why is this idea important?

The licence fee is an anachronism and should be abolished. The BBC does not make any programmes of a type unavailable on commercial channels, so there is no real argument for the licence fee. It consumes and wastes too much money and its executives are overpaid. Worst of all, the BBC constantly pushes a politically correct, multi-cultural agenda which many of us repudiate and do not want to be forced to pay for.
