Prohibit parliament from surrendering its legislative sovereignty

All international treaties in some way limit the power of our own government.

Some treaties, however, limit the legislative freedom of the UK. Such treaties should not be allowed to be permanent or irreversible. (For instance, wording such as "an ever closer union" should not be permitted in a treaty).

Any treaty binding parliament's legislative sovereignty should be subject to ratification and re-ratification in a referendum. In other words, parliament must ask permission to temporarily cede its sovereignty.

Such referenda should happen at least once per parliament, since no parliament should be able to bind a subsequent parliament.

Disestablish the Church of England

All formal ties between the Church of England and the state should be eliminated and set to the same level as that of any other denomination and religion. The government should have no say whatsoever in the affairs of the church or any other denomination or religion, and should not be able to appoint the Archbishop of Canterbury or any other official of the church. Such decisions should be up to the relevant church.

Eradicate speed cameras – introduce speed governors

Introduce intelligent speed governors that can sense the maximum speed limit in an area.

Introduce it on all new cars over a period of time, and require retrofitting on all old cars at the end of that time.

This gets rid of the need to police for speeding, and the speed cameras can go.
