Share Undreground Ducting to offer many services.

Why cant Cable TV providers share BT ducting or even sewers or lay cables next to water supply mains pipes?  Soon the Analog TV is to be phased out and Millions of homes with no cables have to go for unsightly Dishes and Ariels and lining the pockets of one main Satelite broadcaster.

 

Surely makes sense to make it law to share underground ducting which were layed at the cost of Tax payers in the days of Public ownership.

Why is this idea important?

British Jobs Future

We need to reduce outsourcing of skilled work to off shore.  Why?

1) In relation to my big blue organisation, yes it is global business but 70% of our skilled jobs are now offshored in the last 5 years.  This not only drives the cost of the rate of pay in UK for those jobs but is taking out a massive economic spending power out of the UK.

2) If this continues, to keep chasing low rates of pay offshore, is removing the desire for young people to get the skills that are being off shored.  In time those skills will all but dissapear from UK. What will todays children do in 10 to 20 years' time – not skill work because they will not train for it as those jobs will be off shore.

Skilled work is being carried out off shore cheaply and easily because of no boundries in international communications and movement of the work produced using electronic/digital  means.

Do something to stop organisations setting up satalite branches in off shored countries and recruiting cheap skilled people removing those skilled jobs from UK.  Keep and develop skills in the UK, keep the earning powner and therefore spending power and growth of the economy in the UK.
