Force Councils to allocate housing fairly

It seems that most Councils in the UK are working to several definintions of Statutory Homeless and applied it as and when they see fit.

If you are made homeless and are working it seems that the Councils do not deem you as homeless

If you leave your home then you are deemed to have made yourself deliberately homeless and the council will not help

If you come into the contry after leaving you home country then you are miraculously deemed as homeless and are given property

Why is this idea important?

There is a ludicrous state of affairs in the country at the moment where a blind person has a travel pass allowing them free travel all day everyday but a disabled person who cannot walk or use a vehicle ha a travel pass whichis time restricted.

Stop discrimination in age of consent

We have a ridicuous situation in the UK whereby a man of 19 can get a girl of 15 pregnant and a whole body of authorities work to help them with the child, throw money at them in benefits and offer them all the assistance they can but if the same age man has sex with a boy of 15 he is branded a sex offender, put on the sex offenders list and faces the possibility of jail.  Why?

Remove the discrimination in the benefits system

We currently have a situation where two people claiming benefits at the same rate are discriminated against.  If someone claims contributions based Incapacity Benefit (or whatever it has been replaced with these days) at say £98/wk they are not entitled to free prescriptions, glasses etc but if you are claiming the same £98 as income related Incapacity Benefit it is all given to you free as it is deemed being on a low income.  What the govt cannot explain is how one £98 is regarded as low income but the other £98 paid from a different pot is not.

Remove the raft of PC legislation

All legislation relating to Political Correctness should be removed as it contravenes Human Rights to freedom of expression. It is also geared to take into account only one sides opinion to be offended and is in itself discriminatory

Have ‘True Cost’ fines for binge drinkers

Introduce a series of ‘true cost’ fines for people who insist on binge drinking and being anti social. Instead of penalising ALL drinkers just target the problem areas and those who insist on binge drinking.

Remove ‘Blame’ legislation

Remove all the knee jerk legislation introduced by the previous Govt, especially the legislation which holds parents responsible for the actions of the children and prosecutes and imprisons parents if the children do not behave. Controversial ideal I know but PUNISH THE CHILD for what they do.

Limit pedestrian crossings

Limit the use and installation of pedestrian crossings to where it can be clearly shown there is a need for such installation and not allow the current system of 'desire lines' to dictate where these crossings are placed.

Fines for incorrect PCNs

Legislation should be introduced to fine the Civil Enforcement Officer (CEO) and the local authority if Penalty Charge Notices are issued which have the incorrect information on them, eg Stating that a vehicle was parked on a particular road when it was not there.  Councils and their staff should be made accountable to the public for their actions.

Enforce the Data Protection Act

It should be enacted that any breach of the DPA should be an automatic fine paid to the person whoes information has been passed to a third party without their consent.  eg DVLA giving driver details and vehicle owner details to private companies to issue civil penalty notices.  If any organisation divulges private information to a third party without express WRITTEN permission then the oprganisation will pay £250 to the person agrieved. Any written permission wil lonly last a specific period of time as stated and only for the stated organisation.  Further breaches agasint the same person will result in incremental increases of £250 to a maximum of £1000 per breach.  This would do away withthe Data Protection Registrar who does not act against any organisation even though they admit several breaches have taken place.. this will also save the country the £ms paid to this toothless, powerless and useless quango
