Benefits for immigrants
No immigrant , whether from the EU or not , should be able to claimBenefits including Legal Aid , untilhe or she has been resident in Great britain for at least two years. No benefits should ever be paid for family members not resident in Great Britain.
Why does this idea matter?
The country is bankrupt , yet we continue to attract an endless tide of immigrants , by paying them our pvergenerous benefits , from the moment they step onto British soil. The recently-revealed payment of housing benefit ot £2000 a week to an immigrant in Kensington , was only the most outstanding example of a preposterous system. Citizens from abroad should make at least some contribution to the country's finances before they can enjoy its benefits. Furthermore, if their dependents live in another country , they should claim benefits there.
