Revise legislation to create incentives for working hard and paying Taxes and N.I. contributions, by introducing a star ratings scheme.

Upto five years of paying into the contributory system 1 star.

5 to 10 years 2 stars

10 to 15 years 3 stars

15 to 20 years 4 stars

20 years upwards 5 stars.

There is nothing more frustrating than to have worked hard for a long time, to be told in your hour of need that you do not qualify for this that and everything else, when people who have not paid into the system or paid very little in get most things at their behest.

On a star system it is clear for all those involved what their entitlements are.

There would have to be exceptions for those who are unable to work through disability, but money could be set aside by government for the needy affording them levels of financial protection.

The DWP and HMRC keep records on an individual daatbase all ready. the information is all ready there.

Why is this idea important?

It defines entitlements unequivocally!

It is a common sense practical approach to a systemt hat is in need of radical reform!

Those people with disablities are protected through government funding policy.

Have a minimum protection level to safeguard the less well off.

It rewards those who want to work, and the claimable benefits would increase for the length of time spent in work and contributing into the system.

There could hardly be any argument, as it is an incentive to work scheme, based upon paying into the system.
