The health and safety barriers that prevent diabetics from testing their blood at work should be removed.  Regulations that prevent first aid staff at work from helping when there is a medical emergency (eg in the case of a diabetic hyoglacaemic attack) should also be scrapped.

Why is this idea important?

Blood glucose monitoring is essential for diabetic control and the avoidance of hypoglacaemia.  In the event of hypoglacaemia failure to intervene can lead to diabetic coma and death.
