As a homecare provider who visits clients in their own homes and witness medication being dispensed to clients in a residential home setting, the amount of medication that is dispensed that isn't even needed is ridiculous.  We work on a "let us know if you don't need it" approach when in fact it should be the other way around.

Why is this idea important?

This would be a massive cost saving exercise which again, funds could then be diverted to front-line services where it is needed not being used to deliver repeat medication that is not always needed but is then wasted.
