In Bloxham (Banbury, OXON) where I live a new NHS Pharmacy has opened in the village. This has meant that people living within 1 mile of this new Pharmacy can no longer collect their prescriptions from the local doctor's Dispensary. Clearly this is madness, as people have to travel from the doctors to the new Pharmacy.

I understand this is part of the 1948 NHS Act and propose that this element of the Act be repealled.

Tony Baldry, our local MP, has raised this in the house.

Why is this idea important?

To give people the choice of where they get their prescriptions.

To help reduce peoples travel and time.
