Big businesses are importing thousands of specialists, particularly in IT and other technical areas, on the spurious claim that they cannot recruit suitable people here. This is not true, there are plenty of well qualified local candidates available. The real reason is that they are cheaper. And how many times have we seen news recently of foreign workers, often doctors, whose qualifications are false?

Why is this idea important?

Our own unemployed specialists are being ignored and once again big business (including our banks, many of them now publicly-owned) are exporting jobs to the third world, where standards are often much lower.
