I would like to amend the title given to women.  A woman is either known, by Miss, Mrs or Ms, whereas a man is just known as Mr.  I believe the title is unnecessarily providing information to the public about a woman.  It is not clear from the man's title, whether he is married or not, so why should it be clear from the woman's title?

Why is this idea important?

I feel that there is some kind of stigma attached to the title of a woman.  If a woman wants to share that she is married or unmarried, she can still do that as can any man.  I feel that the difference in title is a form of discrimination and humiliation.  I therefore would like to have legislation providing for only one title for women or alternatively three title for men.
