Exempt employers who employ less than 10 employees from all labour laws including laws relating to contracts of employment, job security, equality, wages, hours, collective labour laws, maternity pay, paternity pay, statutory sick pay, etc.

Why is this idea important?

The small employer has no time to familiarise himself with all the labour legislation as he has to spend practically all his time growing the business and, sometimes, just staying in business. Small employers cannot afford to employ human resources managers, accountants, lawyers, etc to ensure compliance with all this legislation. So they try to do it themselves diverting their precious time from growing the business and sometimes making costly mistakes through ignorance of the law.
