Amend the waste regulations to ensure that all charities across the country receive the same service from Councils. This should include free waste diposal and recycling either through collections or by license at Household recycling centres.

All councils should also be required to provide free equipment and collections to groups who organise litter picks and beach cleans etc.

Why is this idea important?

This would reduce the burden on the third sector and free up resources to enable them to better achieve their aims which often coincide with those of the state. If the government is serious about working closer with the third sector then this would be a great start.

Free waste disposal for charities already happens in some areas but not others. It is unfair that charities have to follow the same regulations as profit making companies and this takes away money and resources from vital third sector organisations.
