Eurocodes in construction cost a huge amount to adopt – £25,000 per engineer, according to those trying to force them on to us; and they make the buildings we design more expensive to build.

And there is no level playing field in Europe, where most countries use every possible stratgem to exclude british suppliers. So the extra cost is useless.

We should just get rid of them or at the least, make them optional, to the continued use of British Standards.
