IR35 is a tax that costs more to administer than it raises.

Why is this idea important?

Any tax that costs more to administer than it raises MUST be a bad tax.

Taxes are supposed to contibute to the government purse, not reduce it.

Also, IR35 will re-ignite the flexibility of the work force, which was very much what the Labour government wished to destroy when the tax was introduced.

The flexibility of the workforce in the IT industry is essential if this area of the economy is going to grow and provide the maximum number of jobs in the future.
