Health and safety in the workplace is important but there has been a drift into the environment outside work which appears to require the elimination of any risk from day to day living. This is both unreasonable and impossible.
Revise those aspects of Health & Safety legislation that unreasonably constrain personal behaviour:- eg
prevents Women Institute members selling home made cakes;
leads to a proliferation of formal risk assessments especially involving children's activities
discourages helpful activity – clearing snow/ice from pavements
encourages taking advice from H&S "professionals"
