having watched a 'UK border patrol' programme I can't help feeling that the law on immigration is topsy tervy. If we are informed correctly then immigrants, who have over stayed their visit or are working when they shouldn't be, and cannot produce a valid passport are allowed to stay in the UK whilst those who commit the same offence but can produce a passport are deported. Surely anyone who enters the UK and then cannot produce a passport should be automatically deported?

Why is this idea important?

Immigration is a key issue for citizen's and this seems like a small sensible change to our law to reduce illegal immigrants in the UK.
