Keep them inside for longer
Criminals – murderers, rapists, muggers, violent offenders, burglars and thieves, by their actions, have excluded themselves from any human rights considerations, and should be locked up for longer to protect the public. Our government should be building more prisons to house those who behave badly, and put them to hard work inside, producing goods which will benefit society.
If prison became a place where there were no drugs, no luxuries and lots of productive labour, there would be a deterrent effect on prospective offenders and society would benefit from the absence of offenders' anti-social activites outside prison and their productive work inside prison.
Why does this idea matter?
We need to save money by locking offenders up and putting prisoners to work to prevent them from damaging society and minimise the costs needed to deal with their activities whilst outside prison.
