The Licensing Act 2003 was probably one of the most short sighted pieces of legislation ever. It has led, by common agreement, to increased alcohol fuelled anti-social behaviour and hospital admissions. It should be repealed.

Why is this idea important?

Because this piece of legislation is causing harm, not only to the people involved (generally youths) but also to the peaceful enjoyment of town centres at night by those who do behave themselves. Also there is the problem of damage to property resulting from anti-social behaviour and general degrading of the quality of life for residents resulting from increased noise levels throughout the night and into early morning.
