As a reasonable and productive system I propose that we shouldn't have to dot every i and cross every t with the way our laws are written. In the same way as doctors with poor patient recovery rates, we should be able to question the practise of laywers who repeatedly get people off 'on technicalities' and be allowed to appeal to a common-sense tzar (I dont know who it is) who can overrule.

Why is this idea important?

Criminals have an infinite range of defenses but we may only prosecute them with finite and often ancient laws
