I'm a one man business. As soon as I need an employee, even a part-timer, I end up with dozens of HMRC rules to worry about. I should like to be able to pay casual staff gross based solely on the basis of knowing their name, address and NI  number.

Why is this idea important?

The way things are at the moment, I will avoid taking on any staff if I can, since not only will I lose productive time to management time, but the admin burden will also become significant.

Our government does now know how to create a simple law.
