Simplify the entire system regarding freelancers and work. The majority of us are not legal whiz-kids and don't have the money to spend on expensive advice regarding setting up, paying taxes, claiming allowances etc.

Agree the rules, carve them in stone, don't change/add them continually. In other words provide a solid framework which is easy to understand and comply with and doesn't cost the freelancer an arm and a leg.

Why is this idea important?

In order for the country to get back on a sound economic footing, the coalition needs to encourage more freelancers to enter the market place.

It has already been acknowledged that flexibility is important in today's ever changing market and its likely to become even more important as businesses recover from the recession.
