I am a petrol head and enjoy driving. 70 mph is also a slow speed for modern vehicles with tyre / brake technology as advanced as it now is.
It will get our traffic moving more quickly and will have a positive effect on business.
Get our motorways moving and adopt the German autobahn system ie variable speed limits according to traffic / weather conditions etc
I could then stretch the legs of my Vauxhall Monaro 6 litre VXR when safe to do so and not risk being sent to prison!
