Give police powers to remove travellers and gypsies from land that is occupied unlawfully.

Human rights are frequently given as a reason to stay but what about the rights of the general public who are subjected to the costs of clearing up their mess following eviction through the council tax system, the only winners are the lawyers who charge district councils a fortune for their services and then bailiffs are employed to evict them, more costs

Why is this idea important?

In rural areas unlawful campsites appear overnight, also a favourite is the 4 day easter holiday when sites are occupied when authorities are away. It is important to maintain a rural rubbish free environment for the protection of the general public. Travellers flount the planning laws again costly. Councils have approved sites which some do not wish to use, it should be compulsory.
