Moving decisions from DfT to Scottish Ministers
Amend Section 2, Subsection 6A of the Railways Act 1993 to remove the requirement for the Scottish Ministers to have to consult "the Authority" the Strategic Rail Authority (which is now the DfT) on appointments to the Rail Passengers' Committee for Scotland.
Why does this idea matter?
Representation of views and interests in Scotland should be appointed by the Scottish Ministers and it should not be necessary to defer and consult on appointments to the DfT.
