The age that prescriptions becomes free should be raised, as more people are working til they are older.

Also instead of people with chronic conditions gettting all their drugs free, the should select which drugs are free, like oral contraception. Therefore when a diabetic has a prescription for insulin they would not have to pay but when the same person has a prescription for an antibiotic they have to pay.

Often people who don't pay for prescritions ask for over the counter medications on prescription so they don't have to pay. If a medication is available without prescription it should not be allowed to be prescribed on an NHS prescription only on private prescriptions.

Why is this idea important?

Only 5% of prescritions are paid for and people take advantage of free prescriptions.
