The UK's international aid programme must be reviewed and not ring-fenced. Aid to countries – India and China, for example – that spend money on non-essential projects such as space exploration MUST cease, It must also be withdrawn from states that abuse civil liberties. Aid to other countries must be cut by at least 25 per cent in line with the proposed reductions  to UK budgets.

Why is this idea important?

In the light of the UK's massive budget deficit and the drastic cuts facing public services, we can no longer afford current levels of international aid.
