The idea
There should be a designated smoking area in airports after the security checkpoint. It could be an open area ie a corner somewhere or an enclosed smoking room.
Why is it important?
People are sometimes nervous of flying and perhaps a smoke might stop them drinking so much before getting on a plane – that can bring its own hazards. Its bad enough that you can't smoke on a plane anymore but I can't see why smoking couldn't be accommodated in the departure lounges.
