The CDM regulations 1994 are totally ineffective and a waste of time and money. Understood by few people outside the construction industry. The clients and designers at whom the regulation is aimed are generally oblivious to their duties under it and use Contract law to pass their “duties” onto the builder

Why is this idea important?

There is a plethora of H&S law covering the building industry and the CDM regs add no value. They do not and can not achieve what they set out to do. An un-necessary burden and waste of money
