Repeal the ban on the production, importation, and sale of incandescent light bulbs.

Why is this idea important?

To people such as I, who are visually-impaired, the strength and quality of the light we are able use in our homes and workplaces is a critical issue. The current ban on the production, importation, and sale of incandescent light bulbs deprives myself and others of what should be one of the most fundemental rights, the right to make the most of what limited vision we have.

Why should the state attempt to dictate that people light their homes with eyestrainingly weak, mercury containing, CFL bulbs? Why should shopkeepers fear a heavy fine for the 'offence' of selling an incandescent bulb? It is time that this ridiculous regulation was scrapped!
