To repeal the Human Rights Act

Why is this idea important?

The Human Rights Act gives British citizens no significant new rights that were not available under established British law, including Common Law.  But it creates ambiguity and uncertainty, it creates a field day for lawyers, it promotes judicial activism, and it has led to some totally perverse decisions on the repatriation of terrorist suspects, which have increased the risk of terrorist offences in the UK.
