Repeal the Video Recordings Act

Repeal the gross censorship that is the VRA (1984). At the moment all viewable media that can be purchased in physical form has to be approved by the BBFC and they have a huge say over the standard of material that can be viewed.

Why does this idea matter?

This piece of out dated legislation should be removed becasue it is effective state censorship. Judgement on viewing appropriate visual media should be the responsibility of the individual adult not a state appointed sensor. If a rating system is required, it should be 100% volantary like the US system where many films are available in an unrated uncut format for home viewing.
