Legislation should be introduced to prevent tickets for sporting and music events being sold for more than their face value plus 10%.

This would deter organised touts from purchasing lots of tickets for popular events only to sell them on at many times the face value once the event has sold out.

This practice reduces the number of tickets available at cost price to the true fans.

Why is this idea important?

To prevent the public from being exploited by unscrupulous profiteers.
