Get rid of the whole ID cards system – saves money, removes a blot on the UK's civil liberties record and stops the large IT companies making more money out of the UK tax payer.

Why is this idea important?

It is not British to have ID cards outside wartime.

It is major reduction in civil liberties.

Practicaly it is too large to be a sensible IT system – it will contain many mistakes, which means it will not be totally accurate and thus less than useful. Much time will be spent sorting out these mistakes.

All it will successfully do is to make lots of money for the major IT companies involved and create a huge infrastructure at great cost.
