Stop foreign aid (or at least review it)

We currently give away a great deal of money in foreign aid.

The recipients of this aid include countries who are nuclear powers and can afford space programmes.

There is justification for helping out with disasters and starvation, when it can be ensured that the money goes to the intended recipients.

Why does this idea matter?

This is very important given the financial situation facing Britain. It is a subject very much in the public mind, yet government choses to ignore it.

Why should foreign aid be ring-fenced, whilst some folk in this country are very short of cash and likely to be more so, given the rise in VAT, etc?

Sort our circumstances first, THEN look to charity.
