the growth in the number of speed cameras should be halted and in many cases reversed

Why is this idea important?

 

over the past few year speed cameras seem to have proliferated from areas of recognised high risk to virtually all major roads.the sense of oppression when driving on road such as the a A13 which seems to have a camera about every 50 yards is extraordinary.Im not asking for carte blanche to drive everywhere like the clappers but this overall empression this gives as one drives around the country[I drive for a living] is that we live in a country where constant monitoring has become the norm.Im old enough to remember being tod as a child that we live in a free country,nobody ever seems to say that now
