Stop the Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act 2000 being used inappropriately to spy on people by putting them under surveillance for trivial matters.

Why is this idea important?

This is a Stasi-like law. The ability to use this Act should be restricted to the police and security services only. No other public bodies should be able to use it. Currently, it seems over 800 public bodies can use this legislation – up from 9 at the time the Act was passed and that is far too many.
