Restrict family size unless parents can provide

I think that there are too many people who have several children and who have no responsibility yet expect the state to pick up the bill.

A law that restores the balance of civil liberties such that the exercise of the right to found a family goes hand in hand with the responsibility to ensure that you are able to provide for your children is urgently needed.

One common sense approach is to restrict family size by making it compulsory to have depo vera injections to prevent further pregnancies for those who are on state benefits and who already have 2 children.

That way people are responsible for supporting their children – rather than maximising how much they can claim from the state.

Stop Family allowance for people earning more than 50k

I think family allowance should be stoped for people earning more than 50k

I also think that family allowance should be stopped after 2 children

i think that people coming from abroad who use the nhs or hospitals should have to pay or use insurance like we do when we go abroad.

childcare payments of 70% should be stopped

usually we have children because we want them, therefore why is it necessary to give the parents a huge injection of cash to dump their kids into childcare, this is causing a huge gap between the parents and the youngsters – creating sociopaths who crave attention and join gangs, parents hould be taking their responsibility seriously and looking after and nurturing their offspring. what happened to making sacrifices when you have a family? this going out to work when the baby is 6 months old so they can afford to take a foreign holiday etc., is changing society and we the tax payer are taking on the responsibility of these kids – i dont want that responsibility, i've had my own kids and brought them up myself without handouts from the government.  why are the childless couples, the single men paying for these parents to work and have holidays and  nice things? if parents want to work, fine, work but we shouldnt be paying for it.

Childcare benefits for Grandparents who are able to help

I would like to see Grandparents recognised in some way who help parents with Child Care on a full or part time basis and be helped to be able to take the Grandchildren on days out, plus gain in some way towards their shopping as they would be expected to feed the grandchildren too whilst they're are looking after their grandchildren in order for the parents to be able to afford to go back to work.  I understand that there are tax credits or child care voucher schemes but as these only cover part of the cost of a full week in a children's nursery , child minder or child care system, some people may have to enlist the help of their parents in order to go back to work full time because of the finacial costs of child care.

Children Benefit being sent home by foreigners

I don't think it's fair that Child Benefit can be claimed by EU nationals and sent home to their country for children that don't even live here. What makes it worse, is that they need little proof if any of how many children they have and the amount of money claimed is more than the child benefit they would recieve in their own country.

TAX CREDITS , CHILD BENEFIT.

Working tax credits should be processed and paid through the tax coding system. This will cut down on the bureacracy and paperwork involved.

In an overpopulated country child benefit should only be paid for the first two children and also only to those paying standard rate tax. Again, the benefit could be paid through the tax coding system to cut down on more bureacracy and paid only to married couples to encourage marriage where children are involved.

The personal tax allowance should be raised to £10,000 to help the low waged and this would be paid for by a rise in the top rate of income tax and V.A.T.

Capital Gains tax should be graduated over 7 years like inheritance tax to encourage long term investment.

Child Tax Credit Repeal/Reform

The Child Tax Credit was initiated following WWII as an incentive for families to have more children and repopulate the nation.  This is no longer a relevant issue, and the cost of providing this benefit is significant for taxpayers.  It needs to be phased out.

If we are not willing to get rid of the "tax credit", it needs to be reformed into a true welfare benefit: Currently, eligibility for the Child Tax Credit requires that applicants disclose income from paid employment, but specifically excludes disclosure of maintenance payments and other benefits (housing, automobile, etc) that are provided by a former spouse.  As maintenance is a form of income, it needs to be considered in determining eligibility for the Child Tax Credit.

Further, if this is meant to be a "tax credit", it needs to be linked to the actual tax payer rather than the primary caregiver of children.  Maintenance payments and other benefits are typically provided on a post-tax basis, such that payments under the Child Tax Credit system are not "tax credits" but benefits.  These benefits are not need based, as previously mentioned.

Child Benefit

And end to child benefit, and child tax credits, as people use children as a means of income, we should not reward people for having children. instead we should invest the savings in free child care for people who work and contribute.
