Decommission Cancer Networks in England

The NHS is a business, so it is appropriate to present ideas for improvement through reducing red tape here.

For any business, regulations which have run their course and achieved their aims can reasonably be withdrawn so long as the improvements they were designed to achieve remain embeded in the organisation.

About 10 years ago, to raise standards of care in the NHS, Cancer Networks were established. They have led to great improvements in standards, but it is now possible for their work to be devolved to individual Hospitals who have the staff, expertise, and understanding of Cancer Services to be able to carry on this work in a more streamlined fashion.

Turn Health & Safety Back To It’s Original Purpose

It seems that every other day you hear about another activity that people, like David Cameron or Nick Clegg, had survived for generations that have suddenly been banned by power mad bureaucrats and pen pushers in the name of Health & Safety.

One example as banning playground games, running around, and other healthy activities, like making daisy chains, effectively banning playtime, for millions of our kids. No wonder kids today are getting obese, bored and sociopathic, their outlets are all being banned.

Another example is effectively banning the village fete, like the strings of pointy plastic flags hung between buildings amongst other things being either banned outright for Health & Safety reasons or requiring a level of insurance that could keep a small country going for at least a week, something no village (or even some cities) can possibly afford.

Or cheese rolling, a proud British tradition, zero fatalities, banned. Health & Safety again.

That, and what feels like millions of other intrusions into every day life by the Health & Safety Gestapo are making all our lives an expensive misery, especially Government finance, which we all pay for one way or another.

Let's bring Health & Safety back down to size, back to it's original intended purpose, to make work places and the products we use safe. Let's set us free from the expensive power mad paper pushers determined to ban everything in the name of Health & Safety.

Revise the smoking ban

Update the smoking ban so areas in pubs and clubs can be designated areas, or even allow whole premises to make themselves smoking areas.

Tax these places higher if you want, but stop telling us what we can and can't do!

Prostitution

The current law which allows prostitutes to sell sex but not to work in brothels is postiviely dangerous and forces women onto the streets.  The buying and selling of sex should be completely legal and there should be liscences brothels set up with Health checks for sex workers. There should be increased stringency against sex worker trafficking and forced sex work.
