Enact legislation to free Black and Ethnic Minority People

Review reveals racism claims at GCHQ

Anti-terrorism efforts at GCHQ – Britain's secret eavesdropping centre – are being undermined by failing to recruit enough ethnic minority staff, according to a new report. Skip related content

The review found that black and Asian intelligence officers complained of a racist culture at the complex near Cheltenham, in Gloucestershire.

It also said that GCHQ had only a "very small pool" of black and Asian staff among its 5,000 workers – while all of the agency's senior staff were white.

Much of the agency's work involves monitoring calls and emails from terror suspects, but a lack of officers with specialist knowledge of languages like Urdu and Arabic was found to be harming efforts to spot codes and cultural nuances in intercepted conversations.

"It is critical to have a diverse staff group who are able to profile and recognise certain behaviour patterns and communications," the document said.

The report recommends better engagement with ethnic minority communities in order to boost recruitment and improve the image of the organisation, adding: "This is critical to good national security intelligence."

Scrap the £720 to become a British citizen

If a person has come to the UK for a new life, who is married always paid taxes and been living in the UK for over 10 years I feel should not have to pay £720 for citizenship this is a lot of money to find and unfair.

Why is this idea important?

IMMIGRATION the subject we’re not allowed to comment on!

This was the healine in todays Daily Mail!

SOMALI ASYLUM SEEKER FAMILY OF 9 GIVEN 2 MILLION DOLLAR HOUSE IN KENSINGTON AFTER COMPLAINING 5 BEDROOMED HOUSE THEY HAD BEEN GIVEN WAS IN "A BAD AREA".

WHEN is this madness going to end? Why have the British people been Forced not only into unwanted membership of the eu but into taking every Tom, Dick and Abdul that takes it into his/her head to come to Britain and live like leeches on the backs of the taxpaying public.

This family is only one of millions who heard about our benefit system and our seemingly endlessly open purse which allows them to live the life of Riley and never have to do a days work for it.

IT HAS TO STOP!!

This once proud nation is the laughing stock of the world and a magnet to criminals, terrorists and the workshy in the world. If other nations need help let that help be in the form of teams going to their countries and giving instruction on how to improve it, how to get water, how to grow their own food etc.   We CANNOT and WILL NOT continue to be browbeaten and taxed so that these people can come here and speak the magic words "aslyum seeker' and be given benefits the indiginous population cannot get. It's unfair, and what kind of country are we turning into for our own children? we have nothing left, liebour saw to that by allowing this unfettered immigration, our resources once set up for the British citizens are being sacked daily and our governments are doing nothing to stop it.

This is the subject we want to talk about Mr Cameron/Clegg this and continued so called 'membership' of the eu.

Regularization

Britain's illegal immigrant problem will only be solved if the government allows non-citizens to purchase their legalised status, a thinktank believes. "Deporting all Britain's illegal immigrants is impossible. Any rational approach to the problem must involve some form of regularisation,"

"The best way to do this is through an earned amnesty."

Save Special Branch costs.

It is necessary to notify Special Branch when a UK light aircraft wishes to fly to or from the Channel Islands, Northern Island, ROI and the Isle of Man. Special Branch may elect to drive, usually 2 officers, to the UK departure/arrival airfield. This does not have to be done if a light aircraft wishes to fly to Europe eg France.

So if one wants to circumvent this procedure even a Year 1 schoolchild, let alone a terrorist, would find it simple. Just fly to France, land there and then fly unresticted to the Channel Islands et al.

The need to still inform Special Branch and the ensuing costs to the police is, in my opinion, an absolute waste of money.

Take illegal immigration and asylum application out of the legal system

Scrap SIAC now.

All illegal immigants and asylum seekers should be placed in a secure unit and assessed by border control. They should have access to interpreters, but not to law. There should be no solicitors or any other body involved. A decision to b made within 4 weeks, then grant of status or deportation.

No ECHR, no judicial appeals or anything else. We all know they are simply a delaying tactic to get the right of abode. If this means opting out of the Human Rights (without responsiblities) regulations, or even the EU, so be it. Enforce the borders.

For those granted, no British citizenship or passport, and deportation at the first criminal offence.

Anyone deemed o be a risk tothis society should be deported, no matter what they may face in their home country. To keep them here at public expense, as a risk to the public, is ludicrous and makes this contry a laughing stock.

Abu Hamza, extradite now. The constant court sessions are an immense drain to the public purse.

Binyn Mohammed, he isn't British, left this country willingly to obviously join in Jihad, yet we pay a fortune to bring him back and nowlet him try to sue this Govt whilst we pay for all his upkeep and security. Think of the savings to the taxpyers if we got rid of them and not had to pay for constant surveillance, plus all those inteligence officers could be put to more fruitful duties.

Everyone deserves a second chance British or non British

Im a true believer that everyone deserves a second chance whether you are a British citizen or not as my partner is a Jamaican citizen he served in the British army but had to leave due to injury, we have a child together and are married but due to emotional stress after our chilld was born as he was ill and i developed posnatal depression he tried his best to help me and dealt with it in the wrong way and got caught up in the wrong crowd and is now serving time which now means he faces deportation which is truly unfair, he is paying for what he has done by serving time and he knows he has done wrong and regrets the bad choices he has made. Yes he should of thought about it before he done it but everyone makes mistakes and like i said he is paying for it in a big way cause we could end up a broken family. If he is just given that second chance to prove himself not just to himself or his family but to the law and if he steps out of line again which i know he wont but if he does then he should automatically get deported as he has lost respect for the law and his family. Thank you for taking your time in reading this as it means alot to me.

Give Australian Subjects back their rights

Australians have long been loyal subjects of Her Majesty The Queen and as such are entitled to the same rights and privileges as all members of the British Commonwealth. It is a fact of law that Australia remains a colony of Britain and British Law remains preeminent in the Australian legal system. Why (since 1972) are Australians discriminated against under British Immigration law? As subjects of Her Majesty The Queen, Australians should enjoy the same rights of travel and residence to which all other loyal subjects are entitled.

Immigration Cap & Increase Point for Tier-1

Honourable Home Minister,

I have a request that immigration changes for tier-1 in which you are going to increase points are not good enough to attract high calibre personeel from different backgrounds. Infact there should be given some incentives to those who spent their time in studying masters degree from within the UK. I am talking about PSW should be given some additional 10 points so that they can get Tier 1 easily, as these are the brightest people which were already diluted in to the Uk culture. Therefore the increse in point for tier one made by you is unfair as these peoples are nearly submittion to their applications as most of them earned nearly 35-38 k but considering this increase in points, it is difficult for these peoples to get tierone if they have more than 30 years old. This means they will leave uk and it can affect uk as they are people who already contributed a lot during their studies and their PSW period and also wanted to contribute in the future. Please don't increase the point  as there is already a change made in april 2010 where earnings slap have been changed dramatically high.

Thanks You for considering my humble suggestion.

Allow immigration based on what this country needs and not on the individuals applying

We cannot currently accurately identify bogus or economic migrants from those suffering from genuine persecution.  The proposal is to admit this regrettable fact and to instead ask what we as a nation need from those asking for entry.  If we require a number of manual labourers, doctors, IT specialists etc then we allow people in based on those quotas.  If people come with large sums of money then they will not require our support and would therefore be accepted on a long-term Visiting permit.  Those failing the requirement would be refused entry and any illegal immigrant regardless of colour, creed, or financial or skill status would be returned to their own country or another host country having forfeited their right to stay by breaking our law.

A half-way house would be to issue long-term residency to those being persecuted with no right of permanent residence whatever the circumstance – a reprieve from persecution but with the understanding that ultimately they must return and make the best of their own country.

No befefits for Working Immigrants

The UK appears to be the destination of many immigrants and refugees.  We obviously appear to have streets paved in gold.  The UK should make it clear that this is not a country of free hand out, thus converting the ‘grass is greener’ perception into ‘there is no grass’.

Each of the following categories should be considered in the debate on British Citizenship.

  1. British Citizens: Those who are British Citizens and have the right to live and work and obtain benefits in UK
  2. Working Residents: Those who have the right to work and live in UK but should not be entitled to any UK provided benefits for at least five years after contributing to the UK tax and National Insurance funds.  Even then, they are not British Citizens and should be denied certain rights (eg housing provided by the state and state benefits as well as the right to vote). A Child of a Working Resident born in UK does not become a British Citizen as a right.
  3. Visitors: Those who have the right to be in UK on a short term visa (holiday makers, students, etc) but who should have no rights to any state benefit.
  4. Illegal Entrants:  Those who have no right to be in UK at all but are here illegally.  When discovered, they should be transferred back to their own Country immediately.

The discussion seems to be concentrated on getting as many people into potential ‘British Citizens’ status.  The emphasis should be on controlling those who are in UK as Working Residents and limiting their rights while resident in UK, setting very stringent rules and controls on permitting people to move from Working Residents to British Citizen. This should be an extreme privilege.

The discussion should be on the privileges that are given/not given to those living here under Working Residents and what happens if the person breaks the basic conditions of the privilege of being permitted to work and live in UK (eg enforced departure for anyone committing a criminal act).  The privileges for Working Residents should be extremely limited.  They should not be entitled to State aid of any form (eg housing, benefit, out-of-work benefit and free health treatment).  They should not have the Right to Vote.  No immigrant should be permitted to stay if he commits a criminal act while in the UK and this should take priority over an Individuals Human Rights or Appeal Courts.  Society should have more Rights than the individual.

Immigrants should only be admitted if we have a need for their skills or admitted as a student – I appreciate EU citizens may need different rules if UK takes no action to cancel existing EU rules.

This is not going to be an easy task but it should be possible to manage if, say, National Insurance Numbers are allocated so that Working Residents can be sorted from British Citizens.

Moratorium on Immigration

It is now freely admitted that this country does not know the true numbers of immigrants both legal and illegal who have entered ther country in the last few years.  However it takes no imagination whatsoever to see the impact which the number of no-British nationals are having upon our services.  One only has to look at hospital queues, pressures on Police, affect upon schools, statistics on violence, inability of Social Services to cope, Bank queues, etc., etc.

The system is in a shambles.  The only way this situation can be corrected is to place a complete ban on any immigration over the next 3/5 years  whilst the whole subject is reviewed and brought under control with proper procedures for entry to the UK, suitable numbers of properly trained staff put in place and a  sensible policy developed for control from there on.

Immigration Rule 320 – Summary Adminstrative justice

Rule 320 of HC395 is the immigration rule which causes the automatic refusal of applications from those whom the UKBA has alleged to have broken the immigration rules at some point in the past.

It is unjust, has a number of "get out" clauses, which create unfair treatment for some groups over other groups, which mean that it in fact has limited application.

Who does it NOT apply to:

Those who are or will be married to British Citizens.

Those who are or will be married to someone with ILR (settlement)

Those who are asylum seekers / humanitarian grounds

Those who are European, or who will be or are married to a European (or a family relative dependent of a european).

Scrap work permits

Scrap work permits entirely. If someone is legally resident in the UK, let them work and contribute to the economy instead of being economically inactive.

EU nationals are already exempt from the need for work permits and more people will become exempt as the EU enlarges, so why not hasten the demise of these documents and the bureaucracy that goes along with them?

The blatant abuse of using the Human Rights laws

We are a country with a proud record of protecting foreign nationals, however instead of thanking us some of them participate in public acts of exhorting fellow immigants to kill our people and government. The fact that they use the Human Rights Act to stop them being deported is a disgrace to the rest of the country and the other immigants who have accepted our hospitality. If I, as an individual gave shelter to someone and they then advocated my death I certainly wouldn't continue to give that person my protection.

We as a nation should ignore the part of the act that stops us from deporting these people, ok it will cause a fuss but if an offender is put on a plane and deported then its done and would act as a deterrent to anyone who comes here, lives off us. We are in secret "rendering" people for/to USA so why don't we do it to protect our own nation by getting rid of these offensive people

New Law: All Local Councils To Check Immigrants Documents With Source

Over the last thirty years millions of immigrants have entered the UK some with forged passports and "permanent residency visas".

Local councils do not check back with immmigration department whether these 'residency visas' are genuine – they just photocopy them and stick them in a filing cabinet. Housing benefit is then paid out to that immigrant.

Likewise with the 'dole' office, no check backs are made of either visa or pasport.

I would like to see a law to compell all authorities to have to check the status with immigration first before giving either 'dole' or housing benefit. Also – check back all documents still not checked for the last ten years that are still in their filing cabinets. I feel sure this will save billions of pounds paid out in the future as well as getting back what we have paid out already by fraud.

Other countries such as USA, Australia and New Zealand check every document with source, why don't we? You would not get a taxpayer dollar in any of those countries with false documents. We have been too soft.

citizenship for ex servicemen and dependants

The French actually give you citizenship if you serve 5 years in the French Foreign legion.

They say you are French, not by birth, but by the blood you shed for the country.

Here we have Ghurkas refused entry, ex service folks and dependants tossed out after service if they are not british.

At present about half a battalion in the Scottish regiment is foreign born.

We should allow ALL ex servicemen and woman british citizenship after 3 years service.

Also any ex service man or woman should have citizenship for their spouse and childeren even if that spouse is foreign born- automatically.

Many ex servicemen are married to women that they cannot get ciitizenship for, as they are not in the UK for the required number of years.Globalisation, means many are working overseas as they have talents that are undervalued here in the UK at present

they should the right to the family life ,that so many immigrants use as the means to get their families in to this country under EU human rights legislation.

why should we not give benefits to our heros that we give to our prisoners and asylum seekers

call for ammendment of human rights act

the human rights act should be ammended so that it can not be abused by criminals and chancers to the detriment of the tax payer and the rest of society.

Human rights should be for UK Citizens- newcomers should have lived lawfully in the country for at least 5 years before it applies to them.

it should not be impossible to deport foreign offenders because they may suffer if they are returned to their country of origin- their rights should weigh less than they risk they pose to society in the UK. The UK Government has a duty of care to its citizens but they seem to be more concerned with letting every serious offender stay in the country and continue committing offences. Also this is an open invitation for foreigners to committ offences to get the right to live in the UK permanently

stop those on benefits getting lazy or losing self respect

so there are those who think it is their 'right' to unemployment benefits.  yes if you have paid your fair share of TAX and NI.

those on unemployment benefit should, say 2 to 3 days a week, work in their local hospitals, be it cleaning, help in the cafe or if their qualifications allow, reception/office or part of the medical team.

work for their local council for these days doing anything.. gardening, manning phones, office etc..

in a nutshell, work those few days in the public sector where there will eventually  be cuts.

For those who want to work will have something to get up for in the morning, keep their pride, keep their minds active and could lead to a permanent employment, give ideas for them to perhaps move into a different field or just give ideas for those who have no ideas.

it think it paramount that this should form part of qualifying for benefits for those who cannot be bothered to look for work and never have worked and perhaps it will help them turn over a leaf and start respecting themselves and others.

there are jobs out there, may be not enough for everyone, but one particular programme proved that although the British may moan that foreigners have stolen their jobs, it seems that this is not the case.  I laughed at how lazy the English were and gave up too easily and some could not even be bothered to turn up or were late.  this is typical.  we need to stop this.

I am British born but not English.  i am in a position to pick employees and have found time and again that generally the English seriously lack in everything compared to 'foreigners'.  It is sad to say that the English are far behind with their own language and basic maths.  I have even on a few occasions employed English just to balance out the staff and give them a chance to prove themselves but each time I have been let down.  I even have given them a few chances to improve and they promised it would not happen again, but it does.

Why is this idea important?

Immigration Health and financial checks

All immigrants whether from the EEC or outside should be subject to health checks including x-rays and blood tests.  They should also be able to prove that they are financially able to support themselves and their family.

Immigrants shoud not be allowed to send child allowance back to their family residing in their country of origin.

Inability to Deport Foreign Criminals and Terrorist Operatives

The British government is prevented at present by a host of statutes, precedents and European court rulings from deporting foreign nationals and immigrants who are convicted of serious crimes or found to be members of proscribed, often terrorist organisations back to their countries of origin where those countries are thought not to place the same emphasis on so-called "human rights" as we do. We need not necessarily be talking about North Korea; quite often these "unsafe" nations are members of the Commonwealth, and objections can even be raised when deporting someone to the United States on grounds that the Americans retain the death sentence.

The state's first duty being to protect the law-abiding in general and its own citizens in particular, these impediments to the deportation of foreign criminals and terrorist operatives should all be swept away and the individuals concerned compelled to lie in the beds they have made for themselves.  I thought we weren't supposed to pass judgements on the cultures of others anymore, anyway?

Don’t introduce the English test for spouses of UK citizens

The Government plans to introduce an English test before a spouse of a UK citizen is allowed a visa to enter Britain. We already have a strict citizenship system that includes language proficiency.

We should not introduce this costly and ineffectual test – it is yet more red tape.
