Change tax to stop carriers importing worlds solo kids.

Airlines and other carriers should carry the cost through taxation when they allow children to travel unnacompanied without suitable care being prearranged for their arrival in Britain.

Children are systematically sent to britain unnacompanied in the knowledge that they will be supported by the British taxpayer when they arrive in Britain.

Increase in my ability to live without unnecessary fear of terrorist activities

Treat convicted terrorists with an iron fist. If they are foreign, send them home – no matter where they come from. If they are 'home grown', lock them up for life, or even hang them to save costs.

Children Benefit being sent home by foreigners

I don't think it's fair that Child Benefit can be claimed by EU nationals and sent home to their country for children that don't even live here. What makes it worse, is that they need little proof if any of how many children they have and the amount of money claimed is more than the child benefit they would recieve in their own country.

Immigrants to prove they can support themselves for 2 years

  • Immigrants should not be granted residence in the UK unless they can provide proof that they are able to support themselves and their family for a minimum of 2 years.
  • Immigrants should only be accepted into the country if they have skills that are required here.

No Welfare For Immigrants For 2 Years?

In some other countries you can't get welfare for the first 2 years if you go there to settle legally. You have to work. Once you have done two years you can apply for benefits if you are out of work.

Why don't we have this law here?

Immigration

Immigrants have been let in and flooded illegally to our country.

The Koran states that the muslims wish to take over the world – conquer all land.

Do we really want a muslim ran country because at the end of the day their population will grow and their votes will stand.

They dont even like our country so why come here?

The terrorists come from these countries and we are still letting them in.

My town is full of pregnant polish/kosavan immigrants who will then have the right to stay in our country when they are born. Costing the NHS, costing the council to home them, schools needing translators – and you wonder why we have no money and our schools are going to pot.

Mr Clegg and Mr Cameron should stop all migrants and tackle the illegal side.

I am sure hardly any of the immigrants i see have no right to be here.

I wonder what will happen in the next ten years as my daughter is growing up – there wont be a single british person around because we will all migrate and the problems will be ten fold.

the country is in a complete state and i am fed up of these people costing our country money and seeing them hanging around the streets causing tropuble.

ten years ago the only problem we had were chavs etc – why do we have to pay for these people.

Social Housing and Benefits

Social Housing and Benefits should be for UK Citizens ONLY, Not for Asylum seekers, not for refugees granted asylum in the UK and certainly not for citizens of other EU nations.

This needs to be enforced on any new application and any of the above who are already on benefits should be given three months to find alternative accommodation and/or income. Evict them if necessary.

Allow established illegal immigrants a chance to “buy” their citizenship

There are many illegal immigrants who have entered the UK and been living invisibly and working on the black economy because they do not have official documents. I believe there should be an amnesty window, and those who are living underground as it were, could buy their citizenship by paying a very large fine for the illegal entry, which could be spread over some years like the student loan system. As someone with the status of a probationary immigrant, they would be allowed to work legally and contribute to the economy, and also pay a higher tax rate for a while to compensate for the years they could not pay tax, as we have no way of knowing or proving what they earned or how they survived during the time they were invisible.

The probationary citizen period would end when the fine was totally paid off. I would suggest the figure shoudl be around 12-15,000 per person. Once they are working legally, deductions could be made at source at a rate that is deemed managable so they do not suffer hardship, or the fine scheme be too offputting.

Passport & Immigration Law

Ive been struggling to get a passport recently due to the current Nationalality & Passport Laws. I was born in the UK in 1988 where my mum was born in Nigeria and my was dad born in the UK. Both were living in England at the time of my birth. Although I was born here, lived here all my life, gone to School and paid taxes; the government say that as I was born after 1983 (when the legislation was bought in),  i would have no choice but to claim nationalality from my mother. But because she's officially an African Citizen I would have to pay over £600 to become nationalised. Its crazy to think that for someone who was born here, gone to school, worked and paid taxes should be treated like an outsider when theres people who come here illegally, claim benefits and cheat the system and who also get away with it…how can that be possible? I feel like ive been restricted and I work bloody hard to earn a living. This law needs to be revised as it restricts peoples lifestyles and discriminates against the good and the honest. There should be tighter security within the UK Border Agency and a fair straightforward policy for people who are born in the UK who have trouble getting passports

No Council Housing For Immigrants.

I live in a council house on a large estate in Wakefield. My two children who have grown up & left home to start a family & new life both live 10 miles away & both in the opposite direction as they cannot get a council house near me & the rest of thier family and friends for app 6 or 7 years.

Yet this estate is full of immigrants with no family ties to this estate or area.

In my oppinion this not only drives families apart but puts extra pressure on them too when grandparents like myself need to babysit the grandchildren whilst the parents work, which mine do.

Legal Aid should not be available to non UK nationals

Legal Aid should only be available to UK nationals. There is absolutely no reason why this benefit should be available to anyone who is not a British Citizen and no reason why British Citizens should carry the cost of Immigration Appeals, lawsuits etc etc. Many of the solicitors involved in these representations are bogus and many UK citizens have difficulty themselves obtaining legal aid.

Anyone who is refused a visa/refused entry on arrival whilst holding a visa should only be allowed to appeal from abroad and should be liable for all costs unless the appeal is successful. This would save on detention costs as well as legal aid.

Freedom of movement

We should be allowed to go across borders without being subjected to immigration control within the EU. Many countries in Europe have signed up to this and can move around freely. I believe we should have the same rights, as we already pay for membership, so we should get this benefit. It is especially needed for those people who spend their time traveling back and forth.

Repeal or Amend ‘ RIPA’ (Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act)

Under anti-terrorist laws the powers of Covert Surveillance was extended to a large range of State organizations, including Local Councils. Even organizations to which you may owe money to.

The threshold of who can authorize surveillance is considerably lowered; Previously these powers could only be authorized by Senior officers in Police and Security Services and the Home Secretary.

The purposes for which it can be used for have been greatly extended

Councils have been using these powers in a major way for a whole range of low level crimes and misdemeanours (Even ‘Dog Fouling’ ) . I am sure you have read other stories in the Press.

One family was watched for a month, by Council agents from  cars, filmed, schedule recorded, followed on the School Run etc. Why? To make sure that they weren’t cheating on their School Application Form.

The offending article is literally two lines in a paragraph. (Sorry but I lost the files on my Laptop so you will have to check it out yourself.)
It truly is The Devil In the Detail.

Without Repealing or Amending this section of the Bill it is a waste of time. The relevant bill is named; ‘Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act’ (RIPA)

Ministers saying ,it should be regulated better will not make the fundamental change necessary. After all, regulations can change at whim, but laws are much harder to change.

Citizenship and Revocation of Citizenship

There have being the creation of two tier citizens, the ones born here and the naturalise ones. Whilst the law advocates that every citizen is equal in the eyes of the law its has also help create a more equal citizen than the other. The citizens born outside the UK can now have thier citizenship revoked for frivilous reason in they find themselves on the wrong side of the law and get deported thanks to the effects terrorism. On the other hand the citizens born here are only subjected to the remit of the law but not to deportation. This brings back the memory of the mass deportation to Austrailian of  British citizens. The law and the ability to revoke the citizenships should be reversed back to where it was before 9/11. Whilst  one acknoledges the fact that the public need to be protected from terrorist this ability to reverse what otherwise would be a permanent thing has handed them victory by managing to split the society along natives and none natives.

Amnesty

Give Amnesty to refused asylum seekers/ illegal immigrants who have lived in the UK for more than ten years. Only those with knowledge/skills (NVQ Level 3 and above) and speak English should be considered for Amnesty and they should be made to work in certain areas of our society where it is difficult to recruit from within the UK and the EU. For example: the Health and Social Care industry where there is a shortage of carers.

Remove the right for anyone to film people in their private property for any use against them in a court of law or for media purposes, the right to defend yourself property and family with extreme force, free legal guidance at all times not just for the criminals or foreigners.  British people to have the first choice of all jobs available before any other nationalities

Stop abuse of student visa

A large number of international students come to UK each year. However, many of them never show up for classes. They do petty jobs and often never complete their studies. As a result UK looses in 2 ways:

1. The Universities do not get full fees they are expecting.

2. The unemployment problem is deterioating.

A possible solution is to keep close watch on incoming students. UK needs a system similar to SEVIS in the US.  To discourage students from dropping out, there should be a minimum attendance and grade requirements. Any students falling short on these requirements should be deported.

Integrate Inward Migration policies w/NESTA

Rather than 'Cap' inward migration via capricious numerical quotas (EU and non-EU), as many reactionary Britons would have, THIS government must behave in a pragmatic manner – balancing cost versus benefit.

Inward Migration policy must today factor-in the 'ROI' (Return On Investment) the British people are likely to receive, in employment and income from exports, through granting citizenship (AND initial support) to innovators from OUTSIDE the nation (and EU) as had previous governments the favours accorded billion pound multi-national companies – many which are at the root of the global economic crisis.

Setting immigration 'Caps' for non-EU skilled workers whilst giving unlimited entry to 'entertainers' ('A&A' – actors and athletes) smacks of the Roman Empire in its decline (ie 'Bread and Circuses') when rulers placated the unemployed and starving masses through spectacles to stay in power.

Immigration 'skills' for 'skilled workers' should be assessed via on-line testing and interviews and suitability for inward migration should be determined on the basis of 'ROI' without regard for age, race, sex, religion or national origin.

Punting a ball and speaking rudimentry English are no basis for employment except in the entertainment industry so should immigration policies be set to foster a populace such as Montag's wife 'Linda' from the story Farenheit 451?

How about a European crb system

i don't know if this is the right place to make this suggestion and if the idea did take off then it would need a great deal of work, money and time to which the country doesn't really have and to make things even worse I have done no prior reading so if this has been or will be implemented in the future or even is in operation as we speak then I apologise.

Obviously our domestic crb system needs to be drastically streamlined but if we are to work closer with our European counterparts then I feel a European crb system could work. I don't know how as yet but I thought that I might as well throw this idea in the politely queuing crowd and see what ideas and suggestions other people make of it.
