amnesty

There should be an amnesty for those illegals living like strangers in our society and paying tax, contributed to the communities from many years, strong connections to the uk, honest and never harm to anyone. And their knowledge. activities, skills etc most helpful to the communities.

Illegal immigrants are the problem, not legal ones

The free flow of legal immigrants into this country and of our citizens moving to other countries is a wholely healthy and natural activitiy.  It is part of our citizens broadening their experience and  LEGAL immigrants coming here pay quite highly in cash (to this government) for the privilege, and who have to prove they can financially support themselves when they come.  Visas obtained at British Embassies can cost thousands of pounds and rightly so.

The ONLY immigrant problem we have in this country are the ILLEGAL ones, who have come here either to cash in on our too generous support or to escape the wrath of their own government.  In theory we are providing a safe haven for the deserving but often these are criminals in their own society and and they are simply escaping retribution for their crimes.  We have no duty to give succour to these people.  Too many of them are disrespectful of the people who are supporting them.  If they come here and actually preach death and destruction to British citizens then they should be deported to their home country IMMEDIATELY.  This is not free speech, this is ungrateful TERRORISM and I cannot understand why government has not taken action against such ingrates.

All LEGAl immigrants should be welcomed, allowed to work in the area of their choice (not dictated to) but should NOT be given social housing or any financial benefit payments.  If they want to come here, they should be equipped to support themselves, as British emigrants to other countries must be prepared to do.  Any immigrants joining family already here should be allowed to come but supported financially by their family until they are self-supporting.

Equivalent treatment for Australiasians trying to enter UK as given to members of the EU

Australians and New Zealanders whose parents and grandparents have died for us in WWI and II now find it harder to enter the UK than members of the EU who we/they were fighting against.   Australiasians (and Canadians..) deserve at least equivalent treatment as members of those EU countries that their parents and grandparents were fighting against. And… the British have a lot more in common with Australiasians than, say, Eastern Europeans..

I  am not a right wing activist – but this situation seems morally wrong.

Allow all Asylum Seekers With Children Born in the UK to Stay

All asylum seekers with children born in the UK should be granted full leave to remain in the UK without exception. Further the practice of incarcerating children in asylum detention centres such as Dungavel must end.

Ban asylum seekers right to appeal.

Asylum seekers who are refused should not be able to constantly appeal the decision.

If they are refused, their case has been looked at, the onus should be upon them to provide sufficient reason for their remaining here in the first instance.

Treat Non-EU immigrants with respect

The three recently proposed laws by David Cameron have been unfair:

1) The first, that spouses of non-EU immigrants should speak English before they enter the UK is unfair; as Nick Clegg rightly suggested to David Cameron, many British ex-pats in foreign countries are not able to speak the language of the locals. If this law goes ahead (or has already been passed?) then those spouses of EU immigrants should also have to speak English before they enter the UK, to ensure equality for all immigrants in a country that has, until now, been moving forward in the fight against racism.

2) There will be a cap on non-EU immigration (not sure if this is a current proposal or just media suggestion), this group of non-EU immigrants have worked hard for this country for decades. They have worked hard as underground workers, cleaners, doctors, nurses, accountants and the government should treat them with respect because if they did all go back to their own countries, the UK would be in a terrible critical situation, so please have some respect!

3) It is totally unfair that non-EU immigrants will have to pay for healthcare as recently suggested- Non-EU immigrants have entered the UK over decades and provide the UK with a great service, it is only fair that they are treated fairly and looked after.

Remove the Sports Persons Immingration Cap Exemption – save British Football

Why should sports people be exempt from the immigration cap?

We need Doctors more than we need Premiership footballers.

If we're going to have thriving national sports then young sports people need the best opportunities they can. It's no good for them or the National Teams as a whole when their progress is blocked by some journeyman from overseas who's picking up their last big pay cheque.

Get rid of this stupid excemption, sports like football seem to think it's one rule for them and another for everyone else, it shouldn't be.

Do not go ahead with the cap on immigration

The cap on immigration is a silly idea and a waste of money. i hear its only around 3000 people that they are not going to let in, which is a miniscule amount compared to the population of Britain. 200 of these people could be well qualified doctors. it is pointless and does not solve any issues.

Deception used to gain a Visa and the Home Office new

The law that allows the HO to issue a  second Visa on the information given by sponsor, even though the HO was informed that the first Visa was obtained using false information/deciet, with documention to back it,also that the H.Sec and P.Minister informed, and all them have ignored the  request to investigate.

Probably because if this was leaked to the public it would be one huge embarrasment to the Government?

Just because the H.O. make huge ammounts of money on Visa's?

And I wouldnt be surprised if this idea was deleted……

My immediate thoughts on improving Britain

  • Proposals for new legislation to save money and improve life for the law abiding majority of the UK population.
  • Scrap those parts of Human Rights Act that prevent us sending convicted terrorists and criminals back to their homelands.
  • Introduce a law such that asylum seekers and new residents convicted of serious crimes (terrorism, murder, rape etc) forfeit their right to stay in Britain.
  • People in prison for serious crimes should lose their rights and not be able to carry on in prison to live a pampered lifestyle and be able to sue the Authorities for all sorts of “alleged” abuses.
  • Put a limit on immigration from Non-EU countries.  Stop the practice of Sham marriages in order to qualify to stay in this Country and reduce the number of relatives of new immigrants able to come here.
  • Do away with the current policy of multi-culteralism and introduce a policy of positive integration (like the USA) for all immigrants.
  • Stop the continuous appeals against convictions, paid for by the public purse.  It seems too easy to keep appealing if there is no cost implication to the appellant.
  • Use more commonsense when interpreting the Data Protection Act.   We are now a Nation frightened of taking pictures on a beach or in a park or talk to passing children for fear of this being misinterpreted.  Trying to help elderly people’s with their affairs is almost impossible due to this Act.
  • Stop the repeated Inquiries into the past such as “Bloody Sunday”.  One should be enough.  We can’t afford to keep re-doing things in an effort to placate different sections of the community.  We should be content to realise that the conclusions will not satisfy everyone, and live with it.

Control all Immigration including that from the EU

The freedom of movement within the EU may sound good in theory, but to allow uncontrolled immigration between member countries places unpredictable strains on resources here as Britain has effectively lost control of population movement.

Reinstate the right to work for people awaiting a decision on their asylum claim

The removal of the right for those awaiting asylum decisions, in 2002, has exacerbated the enormous difficulties faced both individually by people seeking asylum, but also by services attempting to support them.

Work provides a sense of productivity and belonging essential in enabling individuals to maintain essential work and personal skills and integrate into their host community,   instead people are left feeling isolated and unproductive.

The majority of refugees come from countries with an extremely strong work ethic, and they feel humiliated by their enforced reliance on benefits.

There is a growing body of evidence showing that opportunity to work enables the individual to maintian their own well being, contribute to the wider society, reduce the cost to the tax payer and challenge damaging stereotypes.

Ancesteral British allowed non EU spouses

Love knows no borders! With world wide web and global work – couples from mixed races and nationalities are meeting and falling in love.  There should be an automatic right for non EU spouses to join  ancesteral British with families that have paid taxes through the centuries to every monarch and government. The issue of using public purse is a purse that all have contributed too since birth here and continue to do so.  There is a fundamental right for the couples to have the freedom between their two motherlands.  The EU FAMILY PERMIT needs to be allowed to ancesteral British.  It is causing pain when other Europeans are able to have  non EU spouses through this permit and then be allowed full freedom to roam around the union and in the UK… while a Brit is not allowed this .and goes through the pain of not being allowed a non EU spouse without a load of red tape to prevent.  For those sceptics that think a spouse is using another to "get in the country" then introduce a clause that if the marriage fails then the spouse has to return to the country of origin unless he/she can prove that they contribute to UK  to continue the right  to remain.  Do not underestimate the intense emotional pain of husband and wife being kept apart by IMMIGRATION RULES  when if the spouse was from another EU country there would be no challenge to them being together no matter their financial circumstance…. How many european couples have come into the UK with little or no money to settle here… where has the challenge to them being together been?  the immigration rule for spouses is UNFAIR…

Ammend asylum laws

To many people from outside the EU come here and claim asylum. They pass through many other safe countries heading for our shores as we are an easy touch and becasue they speak English (sometimes).

We need to ammend the asylum laws so that:

1) A person can only claim asylum once. They must give DNA sample on claiming asylum which is then checked to make sure they have not claimed before. If they have, they are to be ejected from UK shores within 12 hours with no appeal.

2) A person should have their asylum claim dealt within within 1 calendar month. If the country is deemed safe, they are returned without question. If they wish to appeal they do so at their countries British embassy/counsulate.

3) If they have traveled via other EU countiries to the UK, they are ejected to the country of entry without right to appeal. If France suddenly had a load of illegal asylum seekers dumped back on their shores the EU would quickly change their aslyum laws to stop it. As we have the issue they do not care as we are not seen as "one of the boys".

4) Only allow one appeal to be held by a senior and specialy trained judge. This will be the final answer and if aslyum is not granted the person(s) are deported within 12 hours back to their country of origin.

5) Stop ALL benefits and rights to homes to asylum seekers. They should be detained in centres until their case is heard. If they get granted asylum they should be put on courses to force them to learn english, and skills which can help our country – with a requirement they are in work within 6 months. Failure to do so should result is no benefits or aid from the goverment.

This will stop the UK being seen as a soft spot and a place where anyone can get benifits/houses etc for free.

Repeal the Race Relations Acts

The Race Relations Acts were first enacted over forty years ago by Roy Jenkins as blatant social engineering. They have straight-jacketed open debate of racial issues, are contrary to the common sense of human nature and have distorted social attitudes. They are iniquitous and should be repealed so that priority can once again be given to English people in jobs, housing, schooling, health-care, welfare and so forth; then immigrants would have no incentive to either come here or remain here and a natural social balance would be restored.

Homophobia

I do not understand how the Home Secretary can ban certain individuals from entering the UK, owing to their open expression of homophobic views (eg the Westboro Baptist Church) but allow the Pope, who recently said that Homosexuality was a bigger curse on the world than global warming, to not only visit, but have it paid for by the tax payer!

I am atheist, I do not agree with my hard earnt money being squandered pampering to a homophobe. I really do not see why he should be allowed to express these views and then be treated diffferently to those expressing similar views.

If the rules apply to one, it should apply to all!

STOP MARRIAGES FROM ABROAD

I personally think you should stop allowing people to get married from abroad, the men from there abuse us girls and take advantage of us. All they come for to the UK is money. They dont think about us or they children. Many of the british citizens get married abroad and when the spouses come here they get indefinite stay or British passports and divorce them.  I think you should totally stop it or do the minimum age to 25. If people are not happy they can go back to they countries and stay there forever.

Allow Asylum Seekers to Work as soon as they arrive in country

Placing restrictions on Asylum Seekers regarding employment creates divisions and doesn't allow the person to make a legal  contribution to the society in which they have chosen to live.
