Human Rights Act

Repeal as far as UK is able The Human Rights Act; this country already has a unique system of legal management which works perfectly well and is different from the Continent.

Secondly, we already have The Magna Carta, the original statement of human rights in England.

Change ‘Human Rights Act’ to ‘Human Rights and Responsibilties Act’

This is one of the most abused pieces of legislation that has come out of Brussels. It should take into account the fact that people also have responsibility to the others – locally and more widely – not just rights. It is used for trivial cases of so called human rights when actually it is just about people wanting to get money as compensation.

We need to move away from this nanny state and make people be accountable for their actions. Rights and resonsibilities are needed and some common sense in its application so that people are not being forced into political correctness for fear it might upset someone's human rights!

Human Rights Act 1998

Repeal the entire Human Rights Act 1998.

Once the process for repeal is under way, begin to draft a new Human Rights Act – based on English law and precedent, rather than on European law.

Ensure that the new Human Rights Act contains provisions for protecting the rights of citizens of the UK who are not currently the serving a sentence for breaking UK laws.

Abolish unnecessary Human Rights Act

Who is the Human Rights Act supposed to protect? Citizens of a law abiding democratic country? If so, it isn't working! The only people who benefit from this unnecessary legislation are criminals, prison inmates, terrorists, hate preachers, bogus asylum seekers and the Lawyers & Barristers who represent them (at tax payers expense!)

As one of the recognised leaders of the western world, is it really necessary to retain the so called 'Human Rights Act'? Our laws and judicial system coped perfectly adaquately before the introduction of this Act.

This Act needs to be abolished and replaced with a British Bill of Rights ASAP!!

Human Rights Act

the worst thing that ever happened to peoples rights is the Human Rights Act.  it make a mockery of ordanary peoples rights whilst  "protecting" crimanals and lunatics , wastes endless court time on trivial "rights" and has cost this country a fortune as well as its soverenty

it should be used for GROSS enfringements of rights not for contesting a speeding ticket or some other riddiculous triviallity

GET RID OF IT and repace it with COMMON SENSE !!

EU Laws

The repeal of the Single European Act, and subsequent Acts rtifying EU treaties would represent huge cost savings as well as enhancing democracy.

Where does it allow in the British constitution that Britain can be governed by an outside nation not elected by the British people?

Britain must sever its links with the EU due to the fact that the past Labour-Union government administration of Britain entered into an illegal affiliation with the EU governing body contrary to the Constition of Britain which requires that the approval of the citizens of Britain must be gotten before such an alliance with another government can be made on their behalf. This was not done by Blair. He misled the British public and did not adequately explain or communicate the matter to the public or the parliament of Britain. He contrived to deceive.

Moratorium on Immigration

It is now freely admitted that this country does not know the true numbers of immigrants both legal and illegal who have entered ther country in the last few years.  However it takes no imagination whatsoever to see the impact which the number of no-British nationals are having upon our services.  One only has to look at hospital queues, pressures on Police, affect upon schools, statistics on violence, inability of Social Services to cope, Bank queues, etc., etc.

The system is in a shambles.  The only way this situation can be corrected is to place a complete ban on any immigration over the next 3/5 years  whilst the whole subject is reviewed and brought under control with proper procedures for entry to the UK, suitable numbers of properly trained staff put in place and a  sensible policy developed for control from there on.

European Human Rights Act

We must scrap the current European Act and replace it with a well thought out British Bill of Rights which will protect the law abiding citizen but allow criminals, terrorists etc to be punished, by deportation , if necessary, to countries which have the death penalty. If thet break the law in those countries then they must pay the penalties imposed by the country they break the law in.

Prisoners in this country will forfeit most of their rights but should retain the right to life.

Repeal the Human Rights Act

I think that we should repeal, or stop becoming signatories to the Human Rights act.  Why should illegal immigrants be granted the right to remain in the UK simply because they are homosexual and that homosexuality is illegal in their own country?  I am also fed up with the European Human Rights court preventing us from sending ABU Hamza to the USA because he might get a sentance that is too long – the guy promotes Islamic terrorism.  Why are we fighting terrorists with one hand tied behind our back?

Deport suspected terrorists despite human rights act

It is crazy that we can't deport people who are believed to be terrorists and who are not British citizens.  The justification is that the country to which we would deport them (their own country) would abuse.

Supporters of this act claim that rights are indivisible and that we cannot pick choose when to apply rights or to whom they apply.  However the principle of doing exactly this is enshrined within the ECHR itself in respect of rights to personal freedom and imprisonment for offences. so it is clear that the principle is accepted – the argument that you can't pick and choose therefore is defeated by the ECHR itself.

The Human Rights Act (or act of lunacy and criminals charter)

Repeal this disgusting sham of a law. it is a disgrace and goes completely against common sense. Other EU Countries need these laws as they are fledgling democracies. We do not we are the flag bearers of freedom and democrace for the last 300 years and this sham law merely defend the indefensible.
