SCRAP THE WAG

WAG = Welsh Assembly Government; a gravy train for third rate politicians. Everrything they touch falls apart. Their idea of success is not to imbue the people of this area with self-confidence and entrepreneurial vigour, but to go around Europe with the begging bowl.

The health service is by far the worst in the UK and so is the education service. Now many further education colleges have stopped doing A levels, so trying to force the more academic 16 yr olds to stay at school. They are even being told they can do their preferred subjects only by moving around between two or three schools. Typical Welsh third rate "solution."

There are even so-called ministers in this monstrosity who really believe that Wales could be a successful independent nation. To think that our taxes are being spent by people living in such delusion.

There's a referendum due next  year in which these failures will ask for MORE powers. There MUST be an option for the people to SCRAP the whole thing. It never got a majority of those on the voters list in the first place.

Why is this idea important?

Bar signatories to the Scottish Claim of Right (1988) from holding office in British government.

Signatories to the Scottish Claim of Right affirm that the interests of Scotland are paramount over those of all other countries, including those of other parts countries in the United Kingdom.

The claim states:

"We, gathered as the Scottish Constitutional Convention, do hereby acknowledge the sovereign right of the Scottish people to determine the form of Government best suited to their needs, and do hereby declare and pledge that in all our actions and deliberations their interests shall be paramount."

Scrap bi-lingual signs and leaflets in Wales

Remove the requirement in Wales for signs (including road signs) and leaflets to be bi-lingual.  I cannot imagine that there is a single person who only speaks Welsh and cannot understand English.

Bi-lingual signs are a complete and utter waste of public money.

Prescriptions & Education

Standardising prescriptions nationwide so the nation pays a reduced prescription charge. What I mean by this is forcing Wales to charge for prescriptions. I don't see why the British Tax payers should subsidise something that they themselves are unable to benefit from.

Standardising University Education nationwide. What I mean by this is forcing Scotland to charge for University fees. I don't see why the British Tax payers should subsidise something that they themselves are unable to benefit from and we already have a huge defeatist in university education.

Create a rating system for university courses. Someone who qualifies as a doctor earns over their professional life, much more than someone who has qualified in say a teacher. So why should a teacher pay the same fees as a doctor? Surely it is more financially viable to stagger the rate of fees dependant on what course you are doing and where you go? America rate their universities, and Ivy League universities are allowed to charge more. Ivy League don't exclude poorer students, who can apply for grants to plug their financial gap. This is subsidised by higher fees to those that can afford it.

Return to the people of Wales their nationhood and country

In 1535 & 1542 acts were passed in an English parliament, with no welsh representation

1. annexed Wales into England (now known as England & Wales)

2. Criminalised the welsh language (amended by the Welsh Language Act 1993)

3. Did away with it's legal system

Remove the Duchy of Cornwall’s exemption from paying certain taxes

The Treasury needs revenue urgently. Bringing the Duchy of Cornwall into the Corporation Tax and Capital Gains Tax net will bolster receipts and will show the government's commitment to making the UK a fairer country.
