Remove the need to have a TV licence and transfer the cost onto the Council Tax for each house. This will reduce the administration burden, greater likelyhood that the fee will be collected, similar exemptions could apply as they do for council tax.

This year we collected £125.5million more than last year. We made a 5.8% reduction in collection costs. We kept evasion low at 5.3%. This means an extra £127.2million for BBC programmes and services.
Why is this idea important?
This is one less payment that each householder has to pay and save the TV Licensing Authority all the administration burden. It cost £120m last year to collect 94% of the fees due collectting the balance is worth £180m
Using the same staff in a Local Authority would save £1.2bn over the term of the government
