I am proposing that lorries are prohibited from overtaking, particularly on dual carriageways, in order to improve traffic flow and alleviate congestion.

Why is this idea important?

This idea is important because lorries are typically restricted in speed. When one overtakes another, there is little difference in speed that can often lead to long tailbacks due to the length of time it takes for drivers to complete the manoeuvre.

By implementing the idea, the prospect of mile-long tailbacks can be averted and time that would have been lost would be retreived to the benefit of the economy and the environment.
