The idea
The UK Statute Law Database gives free access to anyone with an internet connection to all UK legislation. The intention is that any amendments will be added to the current text of each Act or statutory instrument. However, there is a huge backlog of amendments. The database should be brought up to date.
Why is it important?
People should be able to find out the text of the laws which govern them.
